Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish comprising of meat or chicken thinly sliced and stacked on top of one another. It is roasted on a rotisserie and once cooked the meat is thinly shaved as it continues to rotate and continue to cook. Shawarma has become a popular street food often served in flat bread as a wrap alongside tomato, pickles and tahini. Shawarma consists of a variety of spices including cardamom, cinnamon, and paprika.
